SINTELA ONYX nano
Description
High Performance, short-range Distributed Acoustic Sensing (DAS) system. The Sintela ONYX™ nano system uses advanced Distributed Acoustic Sensing (DAS) technology, to collect and analyse real-time, quantitative data to identify active intrusions. ONYX™ nano integrates with existing security systems such as Video Management Systems (VMS), IP Cameras and Radar Devices. ONYX™ nano is available in 5km , 10km or 20km options.
The ONYX™ nano distributed acoustic sensing (DAS) is connected to a fibre-optic cable which can be installed in various ways: on a fence, buried underground, or mounted on a wall. With the virtual smart zoning feature, it can be set up to accommodate multiple installations along the monitored fiber, such as those on fences or buried underground.
Quantitative Measurements: Fully coherent, phase-based DAS system enables advanced event classification and low nuisance alarm rate—up to 20 km range.
High Sensitivity: Detects axial strain as low as 1.5 pico-strain using standard single-mode optical fibre.
Compact Integrated Design: Combines optical sensing, electronics, and processing hardware into one unit.
Small Form Factor: Occupies just 3U of rack space and weighs under 17 kg for easy transport and minimal footprint.
Full Software Control: Pulse width, gauge length, sample rate, and decimation are all software-defined for flexible deployment.
Advanced Detection Algorithms: Application-specific algorithms developed from decades of experience ensure superior detection with low false alarms.
Web-Based User Interface: Built-in web server allows remote access via any modern browser over secure intranet/internet.
Distributed Architecture: Eliminates single points of failure in networked, multi-system deployments.
Automated Setup: Simplifies installation, commissioning, and testing with automated fibre monitoring.
Open Architecture: Allows users to run their own software on ONYX™ hardware if desired.
