Description
INTREPID™ Model 334-POE is a high-security volumetric perimeter detection sensor designed for fencelines, open areas, walls, gates, entryways, and rooftop security applications. Combining field-proven detection performance with advanced Digital Signal Processing (DSP) algorithms, it effectively distinguishes between intrusion attempts and environmental disturbances. This ensures reliable protection while minimizing nuisance alarms.
As an IP-based solution, the Model 334-POE integrates easily into new or existing TCP/IP networks using a single Ethernet cable. This enables convenient installation and maintenance, flexible system design, and reduced infrastructure costs. Both the transmitter and receiver feature an embedded, browser-based Installation Service Tool (IST) for local or remote setup via an authorized PC or mobile device.
The sensor employs a true parabolic dish and antenna to deliver long-range performance, precise beam control, and consistent Fresnel zones. Its advanced receiver design enhances detection capabilities by triggering alarms on either partial or full beam interruption, as well as signal jamming attempts. The device includes six crystal-controlled, field-selectable modulation channels with digital filtering, allowing multiple sensors to operate in close proximity without interference.
Built for maximum sabotage resistance, the Model 334-POE features heavy-duty components and housing, along with integrated radome tamper switches to deter physical tampering. Superior EMI/RFI shielding further protects the internal electronics from external electromagnetic and radio frequency interference.
For ultra-high security applications, units can be dual, triple, or quad-stacked with Model 336-POE K-Band Digital Microwave Links, reinforcing the system against crawling or bridging attacks. Hi-Rel (high reliability) options are also available.
