INTREPID™ MicroPoint™ II – POE
Description
cut-or-climb intrusion risks. It uses proprietary Digital Signal Processing (DSP) algorithms to accurately locate intrusion attempts within 1 metre, while filtering out harmless disturbances such as wind, rain, or vehicle traffic. This results in a high probability of detection (PD) and a low nuisance alarm rate (NAR). The IP-based system integrates the proven performance of MicroPoint™ II with TCP/IP networking via a single Ethernet cable, offering streamlined installation, flexible system design, and reduced infrastructure costs.
Each processor supports up to 400 metres (1312 feet) of coverage and includes a Processor Module and two sensor cables that are tie-wrapped to a perimeter fence or topper wire. The system’s unique Sensitivity Leveling™ calibration ensures consistent detection performance across a variety of fence fabrics and tension levels, making it a reliable solution for complex or harsh environments.
With Free Format Zoning™ functionality, detection zones can be configured anywhere along the cable via a web browser, independent of processor location. This allows for tailored zoning to meet the specific needs of any site. MicroPoint™-POE is fully compatible with Southwest Microwave’s suite of POE-enabled technologies, including INTREPID™ Model 316-POE (CE), Model 334-POE, Model 336-POE Digital Microwave Links, and INTREPID™ POE System Controllers.
